Hvalspore

A series of glass imprints inspired by two things that are close to our hearts here at Andøy: The whales and the ocean. The shape was first handshaped in wax. When the final shape was there, I first cast plaster around it, before making a ceramic mould cast in the plaster. The ceramic mould is a reusable mould that makes me able to focus on catching all the beautiful colours of the ocean in the glass. Each sculpture is a little bit different in shape, and the colours will never be the same. The “Hvalspore” is signed and numbered.
